About Soph
Sophia formally considers herself a director, writer, and amateur designer but is informally a perpetually aspirational rockstar and a lover of arts and crafts. Raised in Tempe, Arizona, and San Diego, California, she grew up around artists of every discipline. On stage, Soph creates intimate small worlds on fire and projects with small casts dealing with larger-than-life problems. She loves to find the humor of suffering; stories where everything is equally serious and unbelievably funny. She believes theatre should be witty and embarrassing, terrifying and sexy; a place where not a speck of dust on the stage is unused and wrung of its potential. Her muse will always be the messy, vulgar, and desperately confused woman.
